University of Washington

Master of Health Administration

Born and raised in central Oregon, Jeff worked for the US Forest Service as a wildland firefighter for two years before attending graduate school. After earning his MHA, he spent more than 20 years working for hospitals and health systems in strategic planning and business development roles.

Jeff was drawn to consulting because he enjoys the changing combination of skills it requires: meeting facilitation, project management, subject matter research, data analysis, and content creation. With CON applications, in particular, he enjoys the balance required in looking at past examples while developing new arguments.

At Ascendient, Jeff loves managing projects and collaborating with clients and teams. He prides himself on thorough research and critical thinking in pursuit of a persuasive narrative.

Jeff holds a Master Certificate in Project Management from Villanova University and a current PMP credential. He is also a member of the Southeast Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development (SESHSMD).

In his free time, Jeff enjoys reading, European history, travel, bicycling, and hiking near his home in north Georgia. In 2023, he and his wife, Kyrah, celebrated their 20th anniversary with a two-week trip to France, their favorite travel destination.
