Kristen is originally from the Philadelphia area but worked and studied in New York City for over a decade before landing in Raleigh, NC.

In her consulting role at Ascendient, Kristen uses her background in health data analytics to support public health departments with assessing their community health needs. Prior to joining the firm, she was a Research Associate at a large health system in NYC and an Epidemiologist for a state health department during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Driven by a passion for using data to identify and address health inequities in communities across the United States, Kristen earned her MPH from Columbia University with a Certificate in Public Health Research Methods. With publication credits in journals such as Pediatric Emergency Care and AIDS and Behavior, Kristen has researched healthcare in diverse settings ranging from community mental health agencies to family homeless shelters.

Away from the office, Kristen enjoys traveling, spending time with family, friends, and her corgi, and cheering on Philadelphia sports teams.
